About

Personal

My family and I recently (summer 2024) moved to California, after living in Washington, D.C. for 3 years. I started this private practice as a way to continue working with clients and maintaining a career that I love, while also balancing being a mom to a young toddler.

In my spare time, you can find me spending time with my husband and almost two-year-old son, Leo. I love being outside, reading about all things mental health and parenting, and listening to podcasts.

Education & Training

I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree from Indiana University and my Doctorate in School Psychology at Michigan State University. My graduate training included various experiences working directly with children and adolescents in schools and private practice settings. I completed an advanced practicum at The Anxiety and OCD Treatment Center of Ann Arbor, a specialized treatment clinic focused on providing CBT and ERP to individuals with anxiety disorders and OCD.

I worked as a school psychologist in elementary schools after earning my graduate degree, followed by a residency in Clinical Psychology at The Center for Cognitive Therapy & Assessment (in Falls Church and Alexandria, VA). I worked there as a fully licensed psychologist for several years before starting my private practice. I saw individuals across the lifespan for therapy and conducted formal psychological evaluations.

I have an extensive background in conducting formal psychological evaluations in schools and outpatient settings, including evaluating for the possibility of Autism Spectrum Disorder. I have found that my assessment background is helpful in my therapeutic work with clients.
